I wanted a better boot than the $20 boots at Target or Walmart, so I ordered the BearPaw Abagail for my granddaughter. She wore her boots for less than a week. The following is what prompted me to write this review:-The boots have an elastic/button type closer that is not firm and does not keep the front and back of the boot closed. They flop over negating any warmth or protection from the cold...and look sloppy. -The quality of the materials is poor. The fleece lining is flimsy and in a week of wear matted considerably. There was no extra padding on the sole, over all I felt the fleece lining did not provide much insulation or padding on the sole. -The structure in the heel collapsed after the week. After one week of ware (and none of it in snowy conditions), the boots looked like they were well over a year old... Just don't have the time. However, I was just shopping for these boots for my neice as a xmas gift and saw the only rating listed and it was a 1. I totally disagree which lead me to have to comment. These boots are awesome. They are xtra warm, soft and durable. I bought to wear obviously as boots, but these are so comfy and warm that I wear them all the time, as slippers even. I like that they open easily to get on and off faster, I simply slip my foot right in and need no hands to do so. The fur shed a lil the first couple times I wore them, but not to the point where it ruined them or anything and they are still as fuzzy as when I got them. If I had the $ I would have 10 pair and buy my girls a ton of them also. The price was right compared to Uggs! My girls are 7 and 9 and also have them and they have been holding up to their wear and tear great. Go for it, if you like them. You won't be disappointed. I can't take mine off... Read more |
