These boots are good for the price. They look great and are very soft (just like the other brand or better, in my opinion). They are comfortable, except there is a very uncomfortable friction on the back side of my ankle. It is weird and was even painful the first time a wore them. Now I wear them with very plush socks and it is much better. But note that I actually have this issue with almost all shoes, so it is unlikely the boots fault ;)I wear a 9-9 1/2 and ordered a nine. My toe hit the very end of the boot and I thought about sending them back for size and discomfort reasons. I am glad that I chose to keep them because they just needed to be broken in a bit. I got chocolate and the color is dark and rich, very nice. High quality, good support, perfect hight(I am 5'10") for me; the shorter ones would look strange on someone this tall( they hit about 3-4" below knee). I am unwilling to spend $180 on a pair of Uggs, so I figured these would be a good option. I went to the store to compare these to Uggs. In all honesty the only difference I noticed was in the softness of the Ugg suede. The Ugg suede is much much softer and more pliable, hence Ugg owners saying these are not as comfortable. The fur lining pretty much feels the same. I actually preferred the Bearpaw fur a little more. These boots are heavier than Uggs as well. However, for the price of $50, I really cannot complain much. My only complaint is that these boots for some reason are quite difficult to put on and take off--probably due to the firmness of the suede. In addition, they are a bit difficult to roll down again due to the firmness of the suede. In regards to sizing, if you are a 1/2 size, order down!!! I debated back and forth with this.
