Waterproof them BEFORE your daughter wears them!, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Bearpaw Abigail Shearling Boot (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) (Apparel) These boots are darling, fit pretty true to size, and my very picky 3 1/2 year old daughter LOVES them. They are suede, so I purchased a waterproofing spray with them. I should have sprayed them before she ever wore them, because they do pick up stains otherwise -- this is a function of the material, however, and not, as far as I can tell, because of a manufacturing flaw. In retrospect, I may have not opted for the open-style tops. The tops of the boots tend to fold down, which allows them to slip off my daughter's feet a little more easily. Doesn't seem to bother her, but we can't go on short car rides without her kicking them off. Overall, great little boots. I'll buy Bearpaw's again. Nice, less expensive alternative to some more expensive brands.
