Being fair I will point out the (few) good things about these boots, they are very warm, comfortable and have a durable sole. The bad news is, the second time I wore these the upper knit portion began to tear in small areas. Yesterday (the maybe, sixth time I wore these) while pulling up the boot the knit area ripped completly. I am so dissapointed at how poorly these are made and how loose the knitting is held together. Also, another side note I purchased the gray color which was more of a steel/almost blue-ish color not at all like what was pictured.I was very excited about getting what I thought would be high quality, warm boots at a great price for the upcoming winter months. I had always heard great things about the BearPaw brand. Sadly, this was not at all the case! These are a great solution because they're tall boots (which I wanted) but stretchy enough to fit over my calves and they stay up because of the band at the top. They look really cute on. I was also glad they had a reinforced bottom, as my last pair of BearPaw boots did not and wore out in a couple months.Also, I am 5'4" and they come up RIGHT to where my knee bends. I'm not sure that anybody shorter could wear them comfortably all the way up, but there is a scrunching option. I didn't get at first that the silky lines on the side are a scrunch-down option. I haven't tried them that way yet, but it's nice that they can be worn multiple ways. Very comfy and warm. They look great pulled up to the knee with a pair of leggings and look just as great scrunched down with a skirt. The lug soles are perfect for walking. I got them to wear on a trip around Europe and I think they're going to be perfect! |
