But most boots for boys are stiff and "clunky". My son has a disorder that makes him a bit wobbley (weak muscles). So, when I found these boots I thought they'd be perfect...only they seemed to be adverstised for girls, and all the comments were about girls having them. I finally got hold of a representative from another site and asked if the toddler size was just for girls. She said they're for boys as well. Yay! I ordered them and my son walks in them with almost no problem! I got the chocolate brown so they'd look extra boyish, too. I LOVE these boots. The leather will loosen up over time so it has gotten easier to put it on my 4 year old & 2 year old's feet. My four year old can put them on herself. Their feet are warm, the love to wear them, and they cost less than half of what Uggs cost. I'm pretty sure the quality isn't comparable, but when you have to buy a new pair every year for your child, they just don't get that much wear out of them. Nothing has come unstitched or unglued in the few months my children wore theirs. My 4 year old had Uggs when she was a baby, and I might be crazy, but I think that bearpaws don't keep their feet as warm as uggs did. So, if I lived in a very cold climate & was truly concerned their toes would be turning blue in normal shoes, I might splurge on real Uggs, but these bearpaws did just fine in the chilly, windy winters here in Oklahoma. |
