I bought a pair while on vacation because I left my walking shoes at home. But they were extremely comfortable and supportive - I got over it. I walk a lot (to the beach, dog walks, etc) and nobody wants to put on socks in 90 degree weather.So fast forward to fall. I recently got an apartment in NYC and walk even more there and was on the quest for comfy yet somewhat stylish walking shoes. What what I hear, Crocs are completely unacceptable in the city. These shoes are even more comfortable than the custom made orthodics that I use in my other shoes. I have 4 pair of Skecher's Shapeups/FitFlops in different styles and all are size 7.5.I love the shoes. I tell people they gave me my life back because I had pretty much given up on walking any distance due to some leg/hip problems, so, of course, I was thrilled when I saw that I would be able to buy a boot version. They arrived in one day as promised, but here is my caution. For me the size 8 was huge, both in the foot and the calf. I had to return them. I will still try to find a style of Skechers ShapeUp or FitFlop boots that fit me because I can't wear my shoes in this wintery midwest weather. If you have any suggestions, I would welcome that. |
