The design is different than anything that I've seen out there. These are my first bearpaws and I am very impressed. They are extremely comfortable and warm. The only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars is that they are a little wider in the leg and foot areas (although I do have somewhat skinny legs). I typically wear a 7.5, however read the reviews about buying a size up, so I bought an 8 and they fit perfectly lengthwise.
