I was disappointed that the straps seemed to stretch and the shoe now does not fit as well. This style is suede, and I did not get them wet, but they did stretch. I did try on the navy ones yesterday at Macy's and they seem to fit snugger; they appear to be made out of some other non-suede material. I wonder if they would have been a better choice. For $50 I think I'll wait. We love them. Within the first few days of wearing them I did feel the stretch in my muscles! The two drawbacks that I've come across are the overwhelming plastic smell the soles give off and the material that goes between your toes did irritate the skin. I've never understood why shoe manufacturers cannot turn the seam of this material away from all the wearer's skin and/or take into account that some of us have higher arches than others. I have recommended them to all the ladies in my office. These are the best sandals I've ever bought! I wore then all summer long and the first few days I had leg muscle fatigue, so I know my legs were getting a work-out. By the end of the summer my thighs and calves were more tone. I've worn them doing some mild hiking, yardwork, shopping and even in the mud. No matter how much I abuse them, they clean up fine and look good as new. they are well worth the money! I cannot wait for summer so I can wear them again. |
