It did wonders from self-diagnosed heel spur problem. I have virtually no foot pain any more, even in the mornings (when my heel pain used to be particularly bad). Alas, the cold came to southern cali and I had to find an alternative to the fitflop. These shoes are pretty great. The are not as soft/squishy as the thong but they are still very comfortable and provide a nice amount of support. They are good quality and the suede material is easy to dress up or down.Cons: No Half sizes! The boots run a little big. I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 normally. I ordered the 7 in the thongs which was fine but I ordered an 8 in these boots. The 8 is a little big but I can tell the 7 would be too small. I solved this problem by wearing thicker socks with these boots which works fine esp since the boot isn't lined (like the ugg-type boots). I trekked all over trying to find some to try on to no avail. So, I ordered these in the same size as my sandals. They were a bit short, but probably would have been fine had they not been so wide in the ankle and heel that my foot wanted to cram forward; if the fit was better and my heel had stayed where it should have, the length would have been okay. My foot literally flopped around in the heel/ankle of this boot. I guess they'd be great if you have wide calves & ankles. Some said buy bigger, some said buy smaller. I bought the black in a size 8 here on Amazon because they were half price and I usually wear an 8.5. There is PLENTY of room for thick socks (they are thin, not particularly warm, so this is good). I find them easy to pull on, though not as easy as a pair of Emu boots that I have. They have a bit of a "Herman Munster" look to them due the Fit Flop sole, but I kind of like that look. I don't know about the leg toning claims, but I do find them comfortable to wear all day. |
