I bought a pair while on vacation because I left my walking shoes at home. I was sort of embarrassed at first because I did not want everyone to think I was buying these fad workout shoes - thinking I was going to be skinny. But they were extremely comfortable and supportive - I got over it. I walk a lot (to the beach, dog walks, etc) and nobody wants to put on socks in 90 degree weather.So fast forward to fall. I recently got an apartment in NYC and walk even more there and was on the quest for comfy yet somewhat stylish walking shoes. What what I hear, Crocs are completely unacceptable in the city. Which is fine, because they are ugly, but that was my go-to winter walking the dog shoe in Florida. So I stumbled upon the low FitFlop boots (black leather) and ordered a pair. After reading other reviews, I chose to buy the exact same size as my Fitflop sandals. I love my sandals.My toes come right up to the top of the boot. Yes, they do run a little wide, but with socks it helps. The boots are comfortable---again, just wish I had a bit more toe room and I have to work on pulling them up on my feet. If I had bought the next size up---probably would be too big. Because there are no half sizes, I will keep these boots, but will not purchase any more in the other colors. Note: I have small feet size 5 and the boots are still difficult to pull on. |
