But they skimped on the details that could have helped them achieve greatness. They are too short, for one thing. I think they should come up closer to mid-calf, and these don't go very far past the ankle (the photo makes them appear taller than they are). The fur has been shorn too short, too, IMO. And they run a bit small - I'm a size 6 shoe (5.5 sandal), and the size 6 boots felt snug even wearing hose. I usually pick up 3-4 fitflop sandals for each summer, and sometimes they last me 2 summers, and have many pairs of their boots. While I like comfy uggs, I find that these offer much more support if say, I want to go on a 3 mile walk with my dog. In my uggs, my feet slip around, so I can't really walk a long ways in them. That said, this fitflop is not my favorite thanks to being really hard to pull on. after looking at the reviews, while I usually wear a 7 on the mukluks short or tall, I decided to go for the 8 in this one, and that was fortunate. Even with all of the lacing undone and loosened, I had a hard time tugging it on. And of course you then have to tie the lace again. Since I had to size up, my foot does slide around, and I have to wear a thick sock to compensate, but that makes it even harder to pull on the boot!Its the same height as the shorter mukluk, which is really a cute and convenient height to wear... She tried it on and I checked the size. I was glad I could find these on amazon. I bought her size right away thinking it was the perfect present. However when she tried it on it felt too small for her she had to change into her other shoes in the middle of the day.(Lucky she had another pair with her.) Not just the size but the fur on the boots were somewhat suppressed on some areas it didn't look like the boots we saw on the mall. I would never have bought these if I saw them in person.(The one I looked in the mall was decent.) I don't blame amazon. They probably have a huge storage and they can't check all the products before sending them to a customer. I do have doubts on fitflop though.
